Happy Friday Everyone! I’ve got a very fun JW Marriott Engagement session to share with you today. This is a throwback – we shot this session almost a year ago. The bride and groom are now happily married (*phew* – they made it safely through wedding planning!) This session was shot shortly after New Year 2015 at the beautiful JW Marriott on TPC Parkway in San Antonio (you can tell it’s winter in South Texas because of the bright sun, dry grass…wait…that’s all year round – never mind). Rachael and Rod were just finishing pharmacy school. And, now that school was over they were taking their wedding planning more seriously. Step 1 – hold and engagement session and send out Save The Dates.
We first met Rachael and Rod at our studio for a consultation and clicked right away. Over the course of the next couple of weeks, we started planning & designing the session (with the Save The Dates in mind for later.) The bride wanted classic, romantic photography with a hint of their fun personality. The groom liked golf…that was his input 🙂 The JW seemed a perfect fit for a bit of golf, and a very elegant back-drop for the rest of the session. Here are a few of our favs from the session – I hope you like them!
They make that hotel look GOOOOOOD!!!! And now that the session was over, we began to discuss the Save The Date design. They opted for a 5″ x 7″ Save The Date Magnet, and they really wanted it to be pharmacy themed. Now, the thing about themes is – if you’re gonna do it, you can’t flirt with it…you gotta commit. So, after a few different versions we settled on a realistic prescription pad design. What do you think??
