Can I take just a minute to brag on my kiddo? My Juliette graduated high school this year. She is smart, driven, passionate and compassionate…and ready to take on the whole damn world. Of course, knowing the world as well as I do, it totally doesn’t deserve her…she’s way too good for it. But, watch out world, because she’s coming for you regardless!
Juliette is a beautiful mixture of everything that is good between her mother and I. (*Editor’s note, I have been told that it’s mostly her mother’s goodness that should be given credit.) She’s the smartest person in the room. She always considers everybody else’s feelings and beliefs. She fearlessly stands up for anyone who’s been victimized. She’s the perfect balance between analytical and creative. She’s got a clever wit, a sassy and sarcastic mouth, and a wonderful sense of humor.
It’s funny when you look backwards at life, but milestones like this make you reminisce. Juliette is the same age NOW as Aimee and I were when we had her! That is such a surreal thought to me. Juliette grew up alongside her mother and I while we were growing up as well…we were all learning different stages of life together. Of course, Juliette is all-around a much better person than we were at 18…she is so much more mature. (*Editors note, I have been told that her mother was also mature at 18 and that I should speak for myself.) She was born to two people who could barely take care of themselves and, despite us, she has grown into the most lovely and special person. I am so ridiculously proud of who she has become.
Next steps for Miss Juliette include college to be an American Sign Language interpreter. She is also building her own photography business – Photography by Juliette (and she’s pretty darn good, if I do say so myself). And she does editing and color corrections for us! She’s staying in San Antonio, which is really nice for Aimee and I because we will get to be connected and stay a part of things. It’s a wonderful season that she’s in…I’m excited to see what the future holds for her!
We got the chance to shoot a few pictures of Juliette out at Cibolo Nature Center. About the time when we got there, the weather suddenly threatened to rain…and then it stopped threatening and just started raining. So, it was a short session, but I think we got some fun ones. Here are just a few of our favorites ~
Thanks for sticking around for my sappy post. I don’t put a lot of personal posts or information up here…but, this one shows off a few pretty pictures too, so I hope it’s ok! If you’d like more information on our senior sessions, take a look HERE. We’d absolutely love to work with you guys! You can go to our Contact Page, or please feel free to EMAIL, CALL or TEXT us any time with questions that you may have. Also, don’t hesitate to leave us comments here as well.
Have a wonderful weekend! Until next time ~
Cheers everyone…
